Getting the Berkshire Show started
How the Berkshire 4x4 Show came about was in the summer of 2007.
I heard a lot of people saying; that they wish there was a 4x4 show in the south of England,
as the last show in the south was about 2004.
It was the place to meet up with other 4x4 clubs and have a chat, browse around the Trade stands and Auto jumble to see what we could find and having a weekend away.
So, with this in my mind I'm thinking, shall I or not try to organize one?
How am I going to pay for it all? What do I do? Oh boy, I so wanted to organize a show for people.
Speaking to other people they said "it was a good idea and I should go for it
and help some charities along the way." So I have gone for it, no turning back now.
With the help of Paul and Sue we have had tickets printed, forms, maps and a web site up and running.
We have been e mailing lots of 4x4 clubs, companies, and dealers that might be
interested in attending at the show.
We still have flyers to get organized and printed, public liability insurance,
P.A. system, and office, to get yet. But it WILL get there, no stopping us now!
This is one reason why I have also been asking companies if they would help with sponsorship towards the event.
As the saying goes, the first event is always the hardest to do. This is true, but
I am more determined now to carry it on and at the same time help some charities.
I am looking forward to meeting other clubs and traders from all over England.

Together we can make this event happen and help charities at the same time.
So now you know how the Berkshire 4x4 show got started.
